Quick Spring Update

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying the first signs of spring as much as I am! The weather here is already so mild and nice, especially for someone who moved here from Northern Minnesota, but now it's getting even nicer! I heard some thunder rumbles today (eeek!) and it's supposed to be in the 60's and 70's this week! I know anything can happen with the weather and it can change in the blink of an eye, but I'm going to embrace the heat while it's around.

I have been keeping busy with life's usual routine: work, school, gym, and occasionally socializing. I like having this structured routine, but I also feel like having a couple more hours in the day would be extra helpful. School is keeping me on my toes with assignments, papers, my senior project, and planning the rest of my classes until graduation in December. I know December is a ways off, but I feel like it's going to be here before I know it! I'm currently brainstorming internship/career ideas for after graduation, but it's definitely a work in progress.

Over the past couple weeks I've been doing quite a bit of thinking, and I decided it's time to make some changes in my life that I think will help to become a healthier person in more ways than one...

• Physical Health - my goal is to eat healthier (less desserts/candy/sugar) and follow a more structured workout routine. I've had a fairly successful first week, but I'm still working on finding that (close to) perfect balance. Sometimes life just throws you a curve ball from time to time.

• Mental Health- my goal is to cut back on electronics (Netflix, games, etc.) and focus more on school, my relationships in life, and my relationship with God. I cancelled my Netflix subscription, which wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, because there's just something in the back of my mind telling me it's what I need to do. Yes, it's kind of sad, but I have plenty of movies that I can watch from time to time if I need a fix. By making these minor changes, I feel my life will be impacted in a major way, and I will be able to maintain a more positive mental state which will be beneficial to me in the long run. I'm hoping that these changes will help my mind to feel less cluttered so I can focus on my true priorities.

Anyways, I'm basically just thinking out loud now, so moving on! A random fact for the day: I have now been living in Colorado for six months! I almost can't believe it. On one hand, it feels like it's been longer than that, and on the other hand I think the calendar must be off, because half a year couldn't possibly have come and gone that quickly! I still love it here (and probably always will), but now that the weather in Minnesota is getting nicer and with Easter approaching I'm starting to miss Minnesota and all the people there; especially my family, friends, and church family. With that being said, I am hoping to come home to Minnesota for a visit at the end of June/beginning of July! I am very excited and so looking forward to seeing everyone back home!

Other than all that, things have been fairly normal! Just taking it day by day (as always) and eagerly waiting to see what the future holds. Hope you are all doing wonderfully!

♥ Jane

P.S. Someone eat some Gordy's for me!
Please and thank you.
