Fa la la

Fa la la la la, la la...oh, wait, it's still November.

A week or so ago, Boulder was struck with snow and extremely cold temps (like MN cold!). It was a bit frustrating to say the least, but things have warmed back up and temps are resting in the upper 40's. During the winter spell I developed a mini cold, but like the snow, the cold disappeared relatively quickly!

My cousin's Beth and Brian were here last weekend (November 14-16) for a quick visit, and it was so nice to see them! Beth was in Denver for a work conference that week, so they stayed with us over the weekend before heading back to Minnesota. It was cold and snowy while they were here, so we basically just layed low and relaxed at home. Beth was kind enough to take the time to teach me how to crochet a granny square while she was here! I can't believe I successfully crocheted an entire square, but now that she's gone I haven't been as successful...I guess there's always YouTube! Overall it was an enjoyable weekend.

This past Sunday (November 16) I got the wonderful opportunity to attend the Building 429, Love & The Outcome, and Cadence concert in Cheyenne, WY, thanks to my wonderful friend, Choe! With the weather being so wacky and unpredictable I wasn't sure I was going to be able to attend, but the sun worked it's magic and cleared the roads in no time! The concert was really amazing, and I also decided to sponsor a child through Feed the Children. I am really looking forward to making a difference in this little girls life. I can't wait to write her a letter!

Other than these few events, life has pretty much remained the same. I continue to stay busy with work, school, and the gym, while also making time for friends on the weekends (or the occasional week night). I can't believe I will be a college graduate in less than a month! Where did the last four years go?? I'm trying my best to block out senioritis (Netflix definitely is not helping that cause) and finish the semester strong! Oh, and I have also purchased my plane tickets home for Christmas, yay!! I fly home on Saturday, December 20th, and return to Colorado on Saturday, January 3rd. I am going to do my best to make those two weeks back home as wonderful as possible! I have a few things lined up already, but if anyone wants to get together I would be more than happy to see any or all of you! :)

I hope everyone is staying warm wherever you are! It's sunny and almost 50 degrees here in Boulder today, so that hasn't been an issue for me! (Sorry, Minnesota...)

Jane
