I always used to think that weekends were for strictly for bumming around and being lazy, but now I'm finding that I tend to be the most productive on the weekends since I have so much more time and energy to get stuff done. Don't get me wrong, I still thoroughly enjoy (and need) my "lounge on the couch while eating junk food and binge watching a show on Netflix" moments, but I find that I enjoy those moments much more if I'm productive first. If you couldn't already tell from the list I posted above, my Saturday is off to quite a productive start (which means I will thoroughly enjoy being lazy the rest of the day)! Now I know that my list of accomplishments isn't that impressive...let's take a closer look shall we?

Prepped breakfast - I made a bowl of oatmeal and stuck it in the freezer
Loaded and ran the dishwasher - The dishwasher was basically full...I just added crammed a few more dishes into it and hit the start button
Took out the garbage and recycling - The recycling and garbage chute is about four doors down the hallway
Cardio session at the gym - The gym is two floors below me
Made coffee - I was doing myself a favor
Hand washed dishes in the sink - There were only about five items
Washed the counters - I bought some of those disinfecting wet wipe thingys so that was easy peasy
Swept the floors - The apartment living area is pretty small
Showered - Necessary after a 40 minute cardio session
Shaved legs - Ok, I definitely deserve a pat on the back for this one *Side note: Am I the only girl who hates the idea of having to shave my legs, but once I actually do it it's like the best feeling ever??
Ate breakfast - I just added a container of Greek yogurt to my cold oatmeal, added toppings, and called it good
Sat down to write this blog post - Still writing it! *It is now 10:03 if you want some insight into how long it takes me to write these darn things
*It is now 10:30am, and I can add "Apply face mask" to my list of accomplishments today. It didn't do what I wanted it to do (it just made my face wet and smell like chemicals), but I guess it's better than nothing...ok, back to the real point of this blog post.

The point I'm trying to make is...well...I don't actually have much a point to make, I'm basically just rambling about my excitement regarding all I've accomplished so far today. But, I guess that is the point: even though the items on your to-do list may seem small, they all add up to a lot! Once you find the motivation and momentum to get going you will be an unstoppable force. It's surprising how accomplishing even the smallest of tasks can make you feel so good, and you'll want to share your accomplishments with the world! So what have YOU accomplished today? Remember that no task is too small to be celebrated. :)

Anyways, I guess I should quickly address the fact that I have once again been MIA from blogging for almost 6 months now. Life has changed quite a bit since my last post, so I will give you "Where I'm At Now" update as well as a little bit of insight into my future plans for this blog.

Where I'm at Now & My Future Plans for this Blog
Life is mostly the same with the addition of a couple major changes. I'm still working as a temp as the Service Coordinator at the Altec Duluth MN Service Center (hopefully won't be a temp for too much longer *Fingers Crossed*), and I just recently moved in to an apartment in Duluth with my wonderful boyfriend, Michael (it turns out I'm dateable after all!). Overall, I am very happy. God is good, and life is great. :)

As far as the future plans for this blog, I'm really going to strive to post more regularly now that I'm finally settling into the new apartment. It is my goal to start making more positive changes in my life (both physical and mental), and publishing more blog posts is one of my goals. In an attempt to meet that goal, I have come up with a sort of blog series to keep me motivated to post more often. I have yet to coin a cute phrase for the series, but what I'm thinking of doing is coming up with a topic for each letter of the alphabet and doing a weekly post for each letter (A will be week 1, B will be week 2, C will be week 3, etc.). I've just started jotting down some ideas for each letter, but if you'd like to request a topic for any certain letter I would be more than happy to work your requests into this series! The topic can be anything - a noun, an adjective, a verb, an idea, a hobby, a specific topic, you name it! I am planning on starting with letter A next week and going from there! I hope these posts will turn out to be fun, informative, relatable, serious, thought provoking, and more. :)

I truly hope that each and every one of you reading this is doing well and that you are happy and enjoying life. :) Whether you have opted to be a lazy bum or a busy bee today, I hope you have a splendid Saturday!

Until next time,

Jane
