A - About Me

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first post of my alphabet blog series, A Boost of Cheer with JPB: An ABC Blog Series! I named it A Boost of Cheer because a) it emphasizes the ABC theme and 2) I want these blog posts to add a boost of cheer to your day when you read them! It is my hope that whether the weekly post is deep and thought provoking or fun and simple, you leave feeling a bit more cheerful than before. So, without further ado, lets get started!

A - About Me
I have chosen to keep this first post simple, fun, and a little interactive with an "ABC About Me" survey. I know that a few people read my blog (if you're reading this, you're awesome!), and I would love to get to know a little more about my readers! I am going to post my answers to this survey below, and I would love it if you left a comment on the blog, in the Facebook post comments, in a direct message to me, etc. answering one or more of the questions in this survey. :)

Age: I am 25 years old.

Born on what day of the week: I do believe it was a Wednesday (Hump Day, woot woot!).

Chore you hate: I’m not a huge fan of vacuuming because of the loud noise. I also don’t really like scrubbing the bath tub.

Dad's name: Tom.

Essential make-up item: I don’t wear make-up. I own some mascara, eye shadow (I think…), some under eye concealer, and…that’s basically it. I really only wear make-up if I wear my  contacts and want to look a little dolled up, which isn’t too often.

Favorite ice cream: Halo Top, hands down! It’s very pricey (especially since I eat a whole pint in one sitting), but it’s delicious.

Gold or sliver: I like both, but if I had to choose one I’d say silver. It just depends on the situation!

Hometown: Carlton, MN.

Instruments you play: The instruments I still play fairly well are piano and violin. I hope to purchase an acoustic guitar and improve my guitar skills beyond the four chords I know right now.

Job title: Service Coordinator at the Altec Duluth MN Service Center. I love my job. :)

Kids: Someday!

Living arrangements: I’m living with my wonderful boyfriend at Endi in Duluth.

Mom's name: Ann.

Number of socks you own: A lot. I have a bin of ankle high socks and a bin of long/comfy/fleece socks.

Overnight hospital stays: Just when I was born (on a Wednesday).

Phobia: I don’t really have any phobias, but I hate moths and June bugs (or any beetle like creature in general).

Quote you like: “Whatever I do will be small in comparison to what I have been given.” —Ted Lammi

Religious affiliation: Christian.

Siblings: One older brother.

Time you woke up today: I first looked at my phone (and then proceeded to drop it on my face) at 5:15am, but I was able to sleep on and off until about 6:30am.

Unique fact about you: I’ve never dyed my hair or colored it in any way.

Vicious thing you've done: I think I threw a baseball and my brothers back when I was a lot younger…I think I also threw a chair. I’ve definitely mellowed out over the years. Haha.

Worst habit: I have a few, but the one I really want to push myself to overcome is not stretching enough/at all. I also want to get away from drinking diet pop again.

X-rays you've had: I think I’ve had x-rays taken of my teeth, my ankle, and my hand.

Your favorite season: Every season is beautiful in it’s own way, but I’d say it’s a close call between summer and fall.

Zodiac sign: Pisces.

And there you have it folks! As I said before, I would love for you to participate by answering one, all, or any of the questions in this survey. Stay tuned for next weeks post featuring the letter "B"!

Before I officially sign off, I just want to wish you all a happy Memorial Day and express my gratitude and appreciation for those who have lost their lives fighting for our country. "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Until next time,

♥ Jane

  1. Didn't realize you hate beetle like creatures! My favorite Season is fall! The colors are so purty and it's cooling off to the perfect temps.

    1. I can't stand anything that makes a "crunch" sound when you squish it....haha. I just do my best to avoid them at all costs. And I love fall, too! I love the vibe of fall, the changing leaves, and sweater weather most of all. :)
