Overnight Oat Amazingness
Hello all!
Another week has come and gone, and like most weeks, this one was filled with its ups and downs. Mostly ups though, despite the freezing cold temps; it almost felt like I was back in MN for a couple days there!
I know this isn't a food blog, but...it is for this post! One of the things that helped get me through the week was looking forward to eating the DELICIOUS overnight oats I have been making. I think they're delicious, but I've always had a peculiar taste in foods. I made three different kinds of overnight oats over the past week or so, and I have definitely found a favorite: Blueberry Cheesecake. YUM!
If you're the kind of person (I'm so this kind of person) who loves dough/batters and can't wait to lick the spoon after you're done preparing delicious baked goods, then I think you will love this recipe. It almost tastes like you're eating spoonfuls of blueberry muffin batter. Essentially, it's like eating dessert for breakfast, only it's much healthier! Ok, I'm starting to salivate all over my keyboard, so I'll just get to the actual recipe.
*WARNING: the hardest part about making this oatmeal is having to wait the entire night to eat it. (You should at least wait a few hours so the oats can absorb the liquid so they become nice and soft...but overnight is best.)
*I’ve never made this recipe without the protein powder, so I can’t say for sure how much milk to take out, but you can always add more milk in the end if the mixture is too thick. I also can't vouch for the taste of these oats without all the ingredients listed above, but I think they'd still be delicious either way.

The beauty of overnight oats is that there is no right or
wrong way to make them; it all depends on your preference as far as taste and
consistency goes. Keep in mind though
that the oats and chia seeds will absorb some of the liquid overnight. :)
Well...this is just one of my favorite "doctored up" version of overnight oats. You can really make them as simple or elaborate as you like, and with all the different yogurt flavors out there you could really get creative! I've also tried making "Chunky Money" (peanut butter, banana, and chocolate) and "Brownie Batter" (chocolate chocolate chocolate)!
Well...my over-explained, overzealous rave about blueberry cheesecake overnight oats is now coming to a close. You may now either run to your kitchen and whip up a batch immediately, or breathe a sigh of relief that this post is over.
What can I say...I just love food. :)
I hope you all have a great, food fun filled weekend!
♥ Jane
